For older vehicle with Gen 1 or 2 head unit, you will need to to enter an Authentication Code to be able to start your map & software update process. You will need the unique Device ID from the head unit to get the unique Authentication Code for it. 


During the purchase process you will be asked to enter your Device ID and depending on the head unit type, you will either receive an email with the Authentication Code or your order will include a file with the Authentication Code.
